Connel Burt, Financial Adviser

I have been working in financial services for the past 5 years, working primarily for large US investment banks and I take great pride on the relationships I was able to build up with the various clients I was trusted to work with. Prior to this I completed a 4 year university honours degree specialising in personal finance from Glasgow Caledonian University.

I strongly believe that people prefer to work directly with people, especially when it comes to a subject as important as their finances. Due to this I take a great deal of time getting to know my clients with the aim to build up a trusted relationship that will last for many years. Through this relationship I will ensure I fully understand all my clients’ goals and aspirations and work to build a bespoke, tailored solution to help these goals and aspirations become realised.

Wallace Financial Planning allow the time for these trusted relationships to blossom and this was a major factor for me joining the business in 2019.

I work with people and businesses across East Lothian, Edinburgh and beyond, delivering our distinctive service and expert advice on financial planning and wealth management.

To make sure all of our clients’ financial affairs are considered, we have close working relationships with solicitors and accountants & mortgage brokers.

So do get in touch today for an informal chat or an introductory meeting and let us show you how Wallace Financial Planning can offer you a refreshingly different approach to your long-term financial future.

Megan Craig, Trainee Paraplanner

I spent the first 9 years of my working life working as a Personal Trainer in private health clubs helping clients to achieve their personal goals. With a clear and innate sense of excellent client service and developing my business acumen in a self-employed role, I realised I needed a greater challenge and something more intellectually stimulating. I was offered a new and exciting opportunity with Wallace Financial Planning Ltd in 2017 as an Administrator. I am enjoying the fast paced and dynamic aspects to WFP and the wider financial service industry. It has been a steep learning curve, but I feel I am settling in well and getting to know our clients.

Outside of work I enjoy taking walks along the beach with my dog Bella, as well as socialising with friends and family.
